Volcan racing skis represent the latest technology and design.
The new Volcan racing skis are extremely light and functional. The new carbon core shape of the ski has made the Volcan skis even better to use and has expanded their application area. Both skating and classic style Volcan skis feature improved ski-ability and functioning in all snow conditions.
The basic Volcan ski models are the “cold” designed for minus degrees and “wet” designed for zero and plus degree weather. Both models are manufactured in different chambers meant for different conditions.
All Volcan skis have a fluorinated nano base material, which rejects dirt and absorbs wax, still maintaining its sliding properties even in long distance skiing. Karhu racing and semi-racing skis are pre-waxed with base and glide wax during production. Pre-waxing, that is the result of long-term product development, assures that the skis are ready-to-go, and waxing the skis for racing conditions takes less time than before.
Volcan Optigrip is a no-wax-surfaced novelty designed for difficult near-freezing weather, available upon ordering. The surfacing is applied to the soft-stiffness provided with the near-freezing temperature wet skis, also produced in a waxable version.
